Of course, we have come a long way since the primitive genetics known to the world class scientists of the Third Reich. For example, I have long been proud of the fact that my paternal ancestry bed back to the Jews of Andalus. The images all of my ancestors fleeing the encroaching hordes of Christians as the last boat left Valencia means a lot to me. However that may be, when my DNA was done I too had a surprise. Rather than coming from the usual Semitic roots in North Arabia ,my paternal ancestry could be traced to the original Europeans , that is the Cro Magnons who populated southern Europe during the Ice Age, before the invasion of modern Europeans from the Caucuses. So, it appears likely that some dark skinned Basque pass on my Y-chromosome to some female Jewish ancestor!
