North Korea: Correction. Jang not used for dog food.

Kim Jong-Un’s uncle probably not fed to dogs

TIME magazine refutes claim Uncle Jang fed to dogs:

Time wrote an analysis last Friday that debunks the plausibility that Kim fed his uncle to 120 starving attack dogs as punishment for treachery. Supposedly Kim Jong Un and 300 officials watched while were  devoured by 120 hounds.

The claim originated with a Beijing-linked Hong Kong newspaper, Wen Wei Po.  The paper reported that the instead of being executed by a firing squad, , Jang was stripped naked, thrown in a cage with five of his associates, and devoured by 120 hounds as Kim Jong Un and 300 officials watched. The dogs preyed on the prisoners “until they were completely eaten up,” according to the Straits Times, a Singaporean newspaper, who picked up the story on Dec. 24.”

Time argues that  is uncertain Wen Wei Po would not have found out such an intimate detail. The report has not been verified by any insider, which is not surprising given media censorship in North Korea.
