Boeing workers vote Jan 3 .. what were they expecting for Christmas?

Boeing's Xmas presentNEW YORK (Reuters) – Unionized workers at Boeing Co (BA) will vote on January 3 on the company’s latest proposed contract, according to a statement issued by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers just before Christmas,

Cartoon is a mashup derived from work by Gary Larson.

If Boeing does leave the most likely site will be in North Charlotte, SC.  South Carolina’s major attraction is that it is a state that has outlawed company unions.  As a result, entry level machinists, people of considerable skill and training,  are paid about $14/hr.  .. less than the minimum wage for food workers at Seatac airport!  This idea of wage slavery is deeply imbedded in South Carolina, the first state to withdraw from the Union and which still flies the stars and bars in front of its capital.
