At his press conference on the day of Rosha Hashan, the President wished his fellow Jews a happy new year. He said, that although he was not born a Jew, as Mormon he too understood the importance of a promised land and hoped to see eternal friendship between Jews and Mormons in the afterlife.
The President also took this as an occasion to comment on the issue of President Assad’s use of gas in Syria. Mr. Romney said that using gas in this war was unnatural. “Gas should be used to make electricity, not to kill children.”
