MORE WGU!

Does it ever end?

This guy, “Paul”  apparently thinks I am not well enough trained as a typist for him to hire me.  Boy is he correct, but it seems he needs a secretary himself (see red words). .  In my day we used pens and pencils and I never did learn to type!

Anyhow, here is what he wrote in italics with spelling and grammar suggestions  noted in green. I used red for especially intriguing uses of the text medium.

I find that you can not even get three letters right in your statement scarey. ( For the record it is WGU not GWU. I do not want to know what college you went to because then I might have to write a horribly misrepresented article about them simply from your idiocy.  Paul: have you tried to diagram your last sentence?  Do you mean your letter to Harvard College would be misrepresented?  Or did you mean you wanted tell President Faust that I am an idiot?

I am in a hiring position and I would much rather higher a WGU graduate than a brick and mortar school any day. Paul, may I suggest you did not mean to write that you are in a  position to higher a brick and mortar school?

I remember sitting in class and falling asleep to lectures and as long as I was there and did just good enough to be above the curve that the teacher put on each test, I passed with flying colors. Paul, you may want to read about run on sentences.  I also wondered what sort of “flying colors” you mean if all you did was get grades barely above the curve?

There is no curve in WGU.   If I may permit a pun in response, there really is no curve in AWE.   … leaving your grammatical issues aside, so,as an employer, it seems you do not care about grades?  You take a standardized test on each and every class, many of which are industry standard tests. The even more remarkable thing about it is, the students have to research and teach themselves and typically that means they pickup and retain much more than a student falling asleep in a lecturePaul.  if I follow YOUR logic, then the student who falls asleeep in class MUST either fail or be teaching themselves … just like tyhe WGU kid!  I hope more schools pop-up like WGU, especially if this article has any hint on what brick and mortar schools are producing now-a-days. Sorry to tell you that I graduated a while ago  first degree was in 63, second in 67 (doctorate), thiord in 73 (PhD).  I have a few other degrees I can tell you about.

I wrote this man, Paul, and made the same offer I make to all the WGU commenters .. put your credentials where others can see them.  If you really are an employer, tell us about any any experience you have with WGU.   Don’t you womder why they do not pubish their data on students getting jobs?

I am also curious  about your odd writing style .. is this just casula errors a la web or do you have issues with grammar?   If the latter, I wonder whether you think WGU offers an online, no instructor, course that can improve your grammar?

I am sorry to say but there is absolutely no way you went to Harvard.

Oh boy… We can pick at each others words all day long. Things like “Paul. if I follow…” First off, after a period comes a capitol letter. I don’t even have to know how to diagram sentences to see your laziness. You have not learned to type on a computer but you insist on regurgitating your ignorance all over the net. Things like, but not limited to: womder, pubish, casula, a la, asleeep, thiord, tyhE, (the last one I had to make a capital E just so my spell check would not auto correct it). The issue here is, I do not have to prove myself. I am a casual observer with a small post talking directly to you. You sir are the one defaming a school with no real proof. I may want to remind you that, with such a small amount of proof and such a large claim, WGU could hold you liable for that sometime in the future. So you can tear up my sentences I am writing at 0543 in the morning all you want. You sir are the one that is the one that needs to worry about what you type. Just in case you have not done your homework about slander I will add a link for you. You obviously do not do your homework about anything else. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defamation Post this if you dare, either way, I already regret the time I have spent with you. I will not spend anymore time promoting your little tiny spec of a place in this world wide web. Good day.

Sorry for dissecting your use of english but I like to use humor to deal with offensive comments.

As for your threats, I am not worried. Any defamation suit against me would publicize the accusations that are factual and easily verified.

I am not w You can check them yourself.

Unless WGU has changed snce I last looked at its site, they do not provide statistics on the number of WGU grads who get jobs. They also brag about not having faculty competent in subject matter to answer questions or work with students who need help. The few faculty they do identify have, at best, marginal qualifications other than in the vague domain of online education itself. The labs for their science courses are unsupervised science kits, sent in a box to students’ homes.

All that said, I believe that WGU does have some students that should get some benefit from having degrees issued to recognize the students’ work. Unfortunately , their use of pass fail under the sobriquet of competency and the lack of faculty evaluational of students should be a red flag t nay employer.

    If you have any

    Pual …

One more thing, why are you unwilling to tell us what sort of hiring you do and why you would prefer a certificated person with a WGU degree to any one else who had passed the same industrial certificate exams?

As for Harvard, I did go there but so did Bill O’Reilly.

I have no idea why that matters to you.
