Let the candy makers sell pot!

Over at Sound Politics, the right wing is celebrating a report by the British Lung Foundation. The report, SP says, gives new evidence against marijuana.

Not so fast.! Both sides of the MJ debate are inane, as TA has discussed in previous posts directed at marijuana fanatics of the left.

If anyone cares, I would vote for legalized (and controlled) marijuana but only to end what I see as a wild waste of money on campaigns for and against a minor drug. Of course, I’ve bought cannabis from places like flowerpwr before but I have no desire to take drugs on a regular basis. I can certainly see why people enjoy taking the drug though…

For what it is worth, chocolate contains a similar active ingredient to marijuana. Given the obvious bad effects of chocolate addiction, I think we should have a trade. We should restrict the brown stuff to sales for medical use only and let the candy makers sell marijuana!

Here are the facts as I know them:

1. there is no hard evidence that when people buy edibles online, the product they buy causes any harm… to the lungs or anything else so therefore, why should it be stopped? However SMOKING marijuana will deliver a major carcinogen to your lungs. It is very likely that this increases the risk of cancer though we do not have formal proof and one study failed to find the expected effect.

2. Given the concern about smoking anything, there is no reason folks who want the marijuana experience can not get it by eating marijuana brownies. We can also provide the active ingredient of marijuana is forms that do not damage the lungs … what do you think about marijuana soda?

3. The active ingredients in marijuana are not likely to be as harmful as other drugs in common use .. e.g NyQuil, booze, caffeine, etc, so buying products from websites like I Love Growing Marijuana isn’t as harmful as other drug products.

4. Medical marijuana’s effects are equally vague. There is some known benefit but this can be provided by taking the active ingredient in safe forms that apparently do not interest the MJ fans, who would prefer what is offered on sites like Fat Buddha Glass (https://fatbuddhaglass.com/) and similar online retailers.

5. Oddly, MJ fans are Langley on the left where the same folks hate big tobacco. If MJ is legalized, who do they think will sell it?
