McConnell’s campaign manager promises anyone that gets into political ring with the frog faced senator will get their nose bloodied.
Judd, star of “Double Jeopardy” and “Kiss the Girls,” attended the Democratic National Convention in September as a delegate from Tennessee, where she now lives with her husband, three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Dario Franchitti. She has been an outspoken advocate for abortion rights and environmental causes.
The eighth-generation Kentuckian graduated from the University of Kentucky and has a master’s degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
Her chances seem quite real! the Mitch McConnell campaign freaked out over a PPP poll that put the senator up just 47-43 on several different potential Democratic candidates, including Ashley Judd! McConnell’s campaign manager claimed this was a statistical error, after all PPP “is Democrat.” Then, McConnell reeleased his own internal poll ….. … 47-43 over Judd! All that said, I’m not hugely optimistic about Democrats’ chances to unseat McConnell. But I think he’s in weak shape and is going to have to seriously grind this one out if he wants to serve another term. And win or lose, making Mitch McConnell’s life miserable definitely counts as a success.
