First Amendment vs. Congress

R. Albert Mohler, Jr., president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary — the flagship school of the Southern Baptist Convention and one of the largest seminaries in the world, reassures us that “In God We Trust” is safe . . . for now. “The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled …that those phrases from the national currency and the Pledge of Allegiance do not represent a governmental establishment of religion.”

Rep. J. Randy Forbes (R-VA-4th District) wants to send a message to all Americans that ours is a nation under his god.  H. Con. Res. 13 encourages public display “in God we Trust”  in all government buildings and public schools. You can read it for yourself here.

Feel better now?
